Dave Sternberg – Silona Associates

Dave Sternberg Dave is a specialist in community-based partnerships, working in the private, public and third sectors with a strong bias towards robust approaches to tackling poverty and unemployment. He has been involved in the successful establishment of several third sector organisations, helping put together bids and collaborations to secure both revenue and capital funding, and sustainable business plans. For ten years Dave was Head of Coventry City Council's large Community Economic Development Team, where he led over 40 professional staff and directed a wide range of major externally funded programmes. He then spent two years as an adviser on strategic and organisational development in Bangladesh. Over the last four years he has undertaken a wide range of evaluation, strategy and project development consultancies in the UK Midlands, Birmingham, London and East Anglia. Dave is a graduate of Oxford University (Hertford College, PPE) and has done postgraduate work at the LSE and Warwick University. He now has over 30 years experience on-the-ground experience of community and economic development work, including five years working in close collaboration with UKRP Ltd.
